I was fortunate enough to receive press credentials to an Obama rally one week before the election was over in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

The experience of being beside photographers from the associated press, the L.A Times, Getty Images, The Boston Globe, CNN, and various organizations is something I'll never forget.

This is a series of images I captured from the two press risers located at James Maddison University. The event committee provided a professional rigging crew with two 4K Arrisun lighting sources, which made a world of difference for photography.

I shot the event with a Nikon D200 with battery grip, 70-200mm 2.8, and a 50mm 1.4. I was surprised to see many journalists using the same camera, which needs to be upgraded. I found some D3's and D700s among the high class organizations, which was pretty awesome since I've never seen one before.
